Chuck Green, Director of Fly-fishing at Hidden Meadow RanchChuck Green

An Orvis-endorsed Fly-fishing Guide, Chuck Green has had a life-long interest in fly fishing. Chuck was born and raised in central Maine and learned to fish with his family at an early age. In his teens he graduated to a fly rod and spent countless hours chasing Eastern Brook Trout, Atlantic Salmon, Landlock Salmon and Smallmouth Bass all over the Great State of Maine.

After relocating to Arizona in the early ‘90s, Chuck started exploring his new area with a fly rod and has fished extensively statewide with the small streams of the Mogollon Rim and the White Mountains becoming frequent and favored destinations. The Colorado River at Lee’s Ferry is also near the top of his list of Arizona fishing waters.

Chuck’s fly fishing interest and knowledge has led to working on several occasions with the Orvis Company, including as manager of the Orvis store in Jackson Hole and as a sales associate at the Kierland Commons Orvis store in Scottsdale. During that time he developed a special interest in casting and instruction and became a Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF) Certified Casting Instructor in 2003 – a difficult and demanding credential to earn in the world of fly fishing.

Chuck has a passion for fly fishing along with a keen interest in teaching others how to cast a fly rod and track a wily trout with a fly. Chuck’s knowledge and experience make him a valuable resource while fishing or learning to fish at Hidden Meadow Ranch.
