SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (May 24,
2002) -- Hidden Meadow Ranch, a new luxury hideaway
offering gourmet dining and year-round activities,
opens August 1st near the town of Greer in eastern
Arizona's White Mountains. Located on 150 beautiful
acres surrounded by national forest lands and miles
from any highway or other private property, Hidden
Meadow Ranch will become one of the Southwest's
most exclusive getaways.
Hidden Meadow Ranch is owned
by Gary and Jeanne Herberger of Paradise Valley
and Tim and Casey Bolinger of Scottsdale. Scottsdale-based
Greenbrier Southwest Corporation is the project's
developer.
The lodge offers 10 handpeeled blue spruce log cabins
with individually concepted decors that each include
a downstairs master bedroom, wood-burning fireplace,
winding wood staircase to a loft bedroom/sitting
area, separate bath and powder rooms with natural
slate countertops and custom soaking tub, galley
kitchen, and an expansive covered porch overlooking
a very private meadow preserve.
"We're fortunate to have found this wonderful
private parcel of land that was originally homesteaded
in the early 1900s within the spectacular Apache
National Forest," said Gary Herberger. "This
hidden jewel' is now becoming an upscale escape
from the hustle and bustle of urban life."
Jeanne Herberger stated, "There's
nothing like this in Arizona right now. It's the
perfect choice for people who want to get away from
it all and be in the midst of incredible natural
beauty while still enjoying the comforts and conveniences
of a luxury hotel as our tag line says, escape
from everything but luxury.'"
At an elevation of more than
8500 feet, Hidden Meadow Ranch offers guests the
opportunity to fully enjoy each of the four seasons
and all of the outdoor activities that go along
with them.
"In warm weather, guests
may enjoy hiking, horseback riding (on our horses
or yours staying in our limited number of guest
stalls), and fly-fishing in our own spring-fed pond
or on guided pack trips to secluded White Mountain
rivers," said Tim Bolinger. "In the winter,
back-country snowboarding, ice skating, cross-country
skiing, sledding, horse-drawn sleigh rides and downhill
skiing at nearby Sunrise Ski Resort will fill the
cold but sunny days."
"We also offer programs
for star-gazing, wildlife photography, Apache dancing
and storytelling, and a host of other activities
for children and adults year-round," said Casey
Bolinger. "And there's nothing wrong with simply
a nap in a hammock, cooled by a mountain breeze
under the towering pine and aspen trees!"
In addition to the guest cabins,
Hidden Meadow Ranch includes an expansive main lodge
for gourmet dining, reading in the library or relaxing
in the lounge. Internet access (soon to be high-speed
fiber optic) and a flat-screen plasma television
are available in the main lodge for guests to check
e-mail or the latest headlines. Board games and
books in the guest cabins provide quiet family or
couple time in front of a crackling fire in the
fireplace.
Hidden Meadow Ranch is located
approximately 10 miles north of Greer in eastern
Arizona, approximately four hours by car from Phoenix,
Tucson and Albuquerque. Accessible by commuter air
service through the Show Low Airport approximately
45 minutes from the lodge or by private aircraft
through the Springerville Airport, just 25 minutes
away, the lodge will happily provide transportation
for those who arrive by air. The all-inclusive lodging
rate, which includes three gourmet meals per day
and access to all lodge facilities and ranch-sponsored
activities for two people, is $500.00 per night,
double occupancy.
